Students don’t have grudges against the faculty as most of them are senior, well experienced and extremely skilled at teaching.

The Nitte Meenakshi campus is vast and exactly as you would expect a college in such far-off region to have. The campus is shared by the Engineering College, the MBA & PGDM departments and the First-Grade College. Academically, the infrastructure is unexceptional and mediocre; roomy classrooms, well-ventilated labs and a library which just suffices. Sporting facilities are lacking at present but are expected to be taken care of soon.

One or two IT companies visit the campus (mainly on account of the Engineering college) and take in a few students. But most have to hunt for jobs themselves or pursue higher studies.

Dr. NSAM First Grade College is about 3 kms off the Bangalore International Airport Road close to the Yelahanka Airforce Base in the Northern extremes of Bangalore. The location of the college is very remote and inaccessible as BMTC buses drop you at the highway but nowhere near the college, so travelling by BMTC buses is out of the question. There are just trees, grass and may be a couple of farms around the campus. Students either travel by their own vehicles or by the college bus which ferries them from Yelahanka or Naganhalli.

The canteen is very spacious and modernistic. Although it is common for all colleges in the campus, it suffices during peak hours also. Food served is of acceptable quality with some items on the menu being pretty tasty. Popular foods include rice items, fresh juice and bakery items.

The crowd is mostly sub-urban or rural at least in the first grade college’s BBM & B.Com courses. Very few students travel from proper Bangalore, mainly because it’s too far for most. Students come from nearby villages like Devnal, Yelahanka, Kempapura or even Doddaballapur. Some even hail from North Indian states.

While, the BBM & B.Com departments do not have any festival organized by their college separately, they participate in the Engineering Festival “Anaadyanta” which is an inter college cultural festival happening sometime in March every year.

Dr. NSAM First Grade College is pretty lenient about attendance and up to 75% absolutely no actions are taken. Between 60-75% attendance, students are expected to pay up nominal fines of Rs. 150/- per subject. Below 60% they’ll start troubling you and make you run around here and there but harsh actions such as debarring from exams are taken only in extreme cases.

Dr. NSAM First Grade College is heaven for those who are really into studies and want no distraction from the outside world as its remote location makes sure you don’t waste much time lingering around. But the crowd is a turn-off.
