Many of the faculty members have previously been teachers at the Delhi University, so you don’t need to doubt their ability and experience. The rest are just average but they are senior and experienced nevertheless. They teach just about okay, although they are dedicated and try to complete the course on time. The communication between the students and teachers during the lectures is in English but the learning experience is healthier when it shifts to ‘Hinglish’. One noteworthy professor that used to teach at the college (doesn’t teach here anymore) was the economics professor who the students miss even today.

There are three buildings spread across the road, each has different university affiliation being run in it. Overall the buildings look great from the outside and are centrally air-conditioned from inside. Going inside the classes the benches and the furniture is top notch; in fact the benches are so good that the student find it worth sleeping on them too. The seminar hall and the auditorium are equipped with the required projection and audio systems and the auditorium can accommodate 500 people at a time. In the 3 buildings there are a total of 4 libraries out of which 2 are huge and the other 2 are just there to increase the count. But when it comes to its usefulness, enough books are available at all the times and students find it satisfactory. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled but only the PG students are allowed access and if you manage to get the password you can use it too.

The college gets you internships at various reputed companies but getting through totally depends on the calibre of the student. Most of the students are satisfied with their internships as it’s a good learning experience. Most of the internships are un-paid but students don’t mind it either.
There are no placements for BBA students and they generally prefer to study further. MBA students do get placements at companies like Wipro, Reliance and Tata. Quantitatively around 25 students in a batch of 65 get placed and the average salary offered would be 3.4 lakh per annum. Basically you need to shine in your academics and show your calibre to successfully convert a job offer.

Institute of Innovation in Technology and Management is located in the institutional area of Janakpuri D-Block and the closest metro station would be Janakpuri East on the blue line. The best mode to getting to the college is taking a sharing rickshaw (popularly known as grameen seva) from the metro station and it drops you at the Sagarpur market. It’s a 1 minute walk from there. That’s how most of the people travel, but there are a decent chunk of students (around 20% - 30% ) who travel by their own nice cars and bikes

The students do not get any residing options from the college but finding a PG near the college is easy. You can share a flat with a couple of friends or stay in room as a PG, the choice remains yours.

There are 2 canteens both of them big, spacious and clean. They food served at the canteen is tasty but it’s going to be slightly heavy on your pocket. Aloo cutlet is quite popular here and is priced at Rs 25. Here you get a lot of options ranging from snacks to complete meals in both veg and non-veg preferences.

When you are anywhere in Janakpuri the first place you would think to go would obviously be the district centre (fondly known as DC). There are a lot of places to eat right outside the college and you’ll always find these stalls crowded, so you can be sure of the food being tasty. There’s also a PVR cinema at Prakashpuri.

The crowd at the IITM is what drives the other crowd to take admission over here. The girls are pretty and the guys look handsome. All in all lively and friendly people around whom you would like to mix and make friends with. In fact the whole feel you get at the college would compel you (& your friends of course) to stay at the college and chill till the security guards forces you out. The area is safe for girls too and it’s a no smoking zone which makes it even better to chill till late. Most of the students hail from Delhi and NCR regions but there are students from other states of India and around 8 people from Afghanistan too. The variety you see here is quite cool. The ratio of girls to boys is around 40-60.

Annual sports day is celebrated in December and students do take active part in the various events. Apart from this, celebrations include farewell parties and Diwali, but there is no specific college festival as such. But there is always the IPU festival 'Anugoonj' that people participate in.

The college is very particular when it comes to students not attending sufficient number of classroom lectures. 75% attendance norm set by the Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is strictly followed and you cannot afford to fall short of that mark. Now if you are from those who fail to reach the mark you might not be allowed to appear for the exam thus resulting in a sem back.

IITM is a good choice if you want to do your MBA in marketing, but sadly, its just okay for others.
