There are just 3 permanent faculty members but the students don’t seem to mind that as a lot of visiting faculty keep coming in. And their industry exposure coupled with fantastic teaching skills.

Jyoti Nivas College (JNC) is a very old institute but the PG blocks have been recently started just 4 to 5 years ago. The campus is not huge or anything but it’s sufficiently big to not complain about. Academic facilities like the library, classrooms, projectors, and internet are all well maintained.

Placements aren’t something to boast about as the college manages to place only around 5-7 students out of a batch of 60 students. But students claim that placements are improving. Currently the average salary is about Rs. 3 Lakhs per year and the highest salary offered is Rs. 4.5 Lakh per year.

Jyoti Nivas College (JNC) is located in the highly upmarket area of Koramangala in South Central Bangalore. It’s a 5 minute walk from Hosur Road, one of the arterial roads of Bangalore with innumerable BMTC buses (201, 171, G3...) plying along it.

An average MBA institute with good crowd, locality and faculty. Placements need to greatly improve.

Being an only girls college, it has its own advantages and disadvantages. Majority of the girls are freshers from the commerce background (B.Com, BBM & BBA graduates).

Campus life is a bit stressful with 70% attendance being absolutely mandatory. The ambience however, is quite healthy and enthusiastic all the time.
“Spark” is the inter college management, sports cum cultural festival of Jyoti Nivas College (JNC) celebrated sometime in mid-March.

Guest lectures by top corporate honchos keep happening once every month. Apart from that a state/national level seminar is also organized every year. Students are taken for two industrial visits within Bangalore and they are a good learning experience. Another international industrial visit also happens but that is more of a fun-trip.
