Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Engineering (SISTEC-E) has experienced Head Of Departments but teachers are young and not very experienced but that doesn’t stop students from praising their faculty. Students say that teachers of Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Engineering (SISTEC-E) are helpful and cooperative. Also, students do not have to go for extra classes because teachers provide them with notes and worksheets. Although faculty is not very great, students say they are at least better than the teachers coming to other nearby colleges. Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Engineering (SISTEC-E) shares its faculty with Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Research (SISTEC-R).

Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Engineering (SISTEC-E) and Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Research (SISTEC-R) both the colleges are located diametrically opposite to each other and both campuses can be said to be one. At just 12 acres, the campus is really small but well maintained. The campus looks beautiful with green lawns all around, full grass football ground, professional basketball court and a large enclosure for assembly. The building itself looks really great aesthetically. There is no Wi-Fi connectivity in the campus but the laboratories are good. The college is new and hence has procured most of the latest equipment needed for training. Also, the college is diligent about instructing the students on working on the equipment- basically these facilities being better than the other colleges in RatiBud and among the few better facilities in Bhopal.

Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Engineering (SISTEC-E) is in its formative years and only 2 batches have sat for placements. The students say that the placement graph is good and a growing one with around 20% students getting placed. Even though no core companies visit for Civil and Mechanical, CS and IT branches have a greater chance of getting placed in campus. Students who are not able to secure campus placements try their luck with open campus placements. Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Research (SISTEC-R) and Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Engineering (SISTEC-E) both colleges have common placements.

Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Engineering (SISTEC-E) was established only in 2009 and is a relatively new college. Most students use the bus services available from college which covers most parts of Bhopal. Due to its great distance from the main city, students do not prefer using their own vehicles to commute. Hostels are available in the campus for the boys while for the girls they are only available in the main city. The campus is not well equipped when it comes to hostel which is not really liked by the students who generally prefer staying as paying guests in the city. Also, the college is very remote, far away from the city which makes students not like the hostel. The nearest ATM is 2 KM away from the campus.

The canteen is a small room with a few 5-6 tables and chairs in it. Cold drinks, chips and snacks are always available at nominal rates. Though there is not much variety, students who do not stay in the hostels do not mind that as they leave campus as soon as college is done.

There are no hangouts nearby and most of the area is rural. The nearest mall is the DB Mall or the Aashima Mall which too, are far flung from the secluded campus. Students spend their time within campus before leaving for their hostels outside campus

Most students are from UP, Bihar and a few from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Girl to boy ratio is not really good with very few girls in the college. Also, students maintain a very good rapport with the teachers, both being lively and more active than the other colleges in RatiBud.

Attendance is really strict. 75% attendance is relaxed by 10% and students failing to secure attendance less than that are given extra assignments. Fines are not imposed but sometimes practical examination marks are deducted and parents are given calls informing them about their ward’s low attendance.

Sagar Institute of Science and Technology and Engineering (SISTEC-E) is a new college established only in 2009 and is faring averagely. Although the college wouldn’t feature in the top 20 colleges of Bhopal, infrastructure and satisfaction levels of students are really very good which makes it an average if not good upcoming engineering college in Bhopal.
