Job Description:

Department: Product Engineering - Localization and Value Analysis

Work:

  1. Localization- Decision making on technical feasibility of localization content, chalking plans for validation processes, coordinating with Purchasing and Engineering.
  2. VAVE - identifying cost saving opportunities in the vehicle

Experience at Work:

It's a little grueling for fresh graduates - the work load is not entirely crushing but hectic all the same. At the same time, the work content isn't boring. It's an auto-mobile company, there is a lot to learn. So, it's interesting as long as cars excite you.

Apart from the working hours (6 days a week, 8:30 to 5) and no formal department training, it's been quite enjoyable. Being directly assigned the tasks may seem a bit too much in the beginning but you eventually learn in time.

Advice to the juniors:

My advice would be to hold on and give it some time. No one knows everything from day 1. We all take time to adjust, so let's take that time and move ahead one step at a time.
