The teaching is said to be moderate to good and students are satisfied to an extent. “Biology and Chemistry Departments have the most wonderful teachers. Physics department needs to be improved” quotes a junior college student. In the Senior College, the Electronics Department is said to have the best faculty.

The classrooms appear to be in a dilapidated condition and require urgent maintenance and upgradation. The labs are well-equipped but require better ventilation. A separate library and reading room provide good convenience for self-study.

Abasaheb Garware College is located on Karve Road which is pretty much accessible from all parts of the city. Students, however, prefer to get their own private two-wheelers. Bus connectivity is good for those who can’t.
