Well, BMCC is one of the top ranking colleges in Pune and Maharashtra. Undoubtedly, the credit goes to its faculty members. "The teaching is brilliant especially for Accounts where the lecture is houseful most of the times", quoted by one of the students. Almost every sport aspirant in this college is amazed with their Sports teacher. The lecturers are pretty experienced and have a thorough knowledge about their subject. In spite of all this, the communication is weak and you frequently hear professors teaching in Hindi, at times Marathi, too. Nevertheless, the college has a history of producing a lot of Chartered Accountants.

The classrooms are quite okay, no air-conditioners. Library is well equipped with finance and accounts books. There is a huge playground within the campus of BMCC where you find multiple sports being played at one time. Surprisingly, there is no Wi-Fi in the campus. Moreover, the washrooms are extremely dirty and drinking water is a huge problem.

Since most of the students opt for higher education else CA or CS, placements aren’t a part of the student’s goal. Though, there are big MNC’s that recruit students from the BBM and BMM background.

Located behind one of the most happening areas, FC Road, Brihan Maharashtra College of Commere (BMCC) is one of the most renowned and aspiring college for any Commerce student in Pune. There are no Pune Municipal Transport (PMT) buses that drop you right at the college gate but it’s a 5-10 minutes walk from Ferguson College where the frequency of buses is good. Still most of the students prefer two wheelers and you often see a sports bike in the parking lot.

BMCC canteen has a good variety of food at a nominal cost. Sadly, there is no Non Veg served in the canteen just like many other colleges in India, students here complain to start non-vegetarian food. On a whole, the food is pretty much edible and suits your taste.

Canteen is the most untidy place that could be found in campus after hostel which is full of rustic people sad but it's true I ain't being negative but these are facts and reality only reputation can't run a college #eyeopener

BMCC’s major crowd is from Pune city but few aspirants even come from the outskirts of Pune. Atleast 60% of the students are localities while the remaining students are from different parts of India. You often meet a lot of foreigners from Iran and Africa in this college. The crowd is a bit on the happening side but is equally balanced when it comes to academics. Most importantly, sports is given a lot of importance, hence you see a lot of chaps on the college ground.

BMCC has got no attendance issues. Often, the lecture halls are empty and students take maximum liberty of this parameter. You can have an attendance of around 45% but if you fall below this mark, you’re bound to pay a fine! The defaulters list is just a namesake thing and nobody actually bothers about it. In a nutshell, it’s a pretty chilled out life at BMCC.
