The faculty is decent but it is changing for the better. There has been an influx of teachers from MDI. There are a very few visiting faculty, most of them are permanent. There has been a change in a drastic change in teaching since the new dean has taken charge and it is for the betterment of the students.

IMI has a really good infrastructure. The campus is big compared to the other institutes in the institutional area barring the IIFT. IMI has a basketball court which is overlooked by step gardens where few students are spotted studying. Library is open till 12 in the midnight.

The students are said to keep mum when asked about placements. On tempting them with a free lunch all we could extract was that the placements are decent.

The crowd is not a very studious type, but fun loving. Engineers again form 50% of the crowd. Most of the students have work experience with them but few freshers are also found. Discipline on campus is taken care of, if you plan to smoke and drink on the campus it could cost you!!
Something called as 'I-score' is recorded for each student, which takes into consideration all round development of the students.
