Most faculties are well qualified and have good experience barring one or two in each department. Each department even has two to three teachers having done or pursuing PhDs. The teachers do have a decent knowledge about their subjects but they are very strict.

Jerusalem College of Engineering has a quite big campus with a number of grounds for various sports activities. It’s a luxury considering the fact that it is within the city. Interiors too are pretty decent however they don’t match up to the exteriors. The lab equipment is in good working condition.

HCL Technologies, Hughes Communication, Infosys & IGate Patni are some of the companies that visited the campus for recruitment. Jerusalem College of Engineering has decent placements overall. It doesn’t have a 100% placement record but it manages to place at least half the batch.

Although Jerusalem College of Engineering (JCE) is located just outside of the city limits, locality is a resedential one and not remote like most other engineering colleges. The college is located by the busy Velachery Road in an area called Pallikaranai. There are many MTC buses plying on this route, although they are invariably crowded at all times of day. Reaching any part of city isn’t very difficult from here; just the traffic during the peak hours is high which usually is averted because of well-thought-of college timings.

Majority of the crowd, approx. 70%, consists of students from Chennai itself. The rest are from various parts of Tamilnadu. There are hardly any students from any other states coming to study here. The crowd is somewhere at the middle of studious and fun loving variants.

Wisteria is the annual technical college festival conducted at Jerusalem COE. The festival although is a technical one, it does host non tech events too. Wisteria does have a good foot fall from various departments of Jerusalem College like Engineering, Management and MCA but very few students from other colleges come. Other college students come mainly for Paper Presentation.

Every department has its own set of rules about attendance. ECE and EEE are very strict about it whereas civil department is quite lenient. You are required to wear formals daily but at times wearing casuals is also condoned by the Civil Dept.
