Only students from the Civil department hope to learn some real engineering stuff at Malla Reddy Institute of Technology (MRIT). The remaining departments aren't positive as most of their teachers are just a couple of years elder with little or no teaching experience.

Students at Malla Reddy Institute of Technology (MRIT) face numerous problems like shortage of equipments, occasional disruptions in electricity, broken apparatus and unhygienic restrooms. Civil and computer labs are an exception, though.

The first batch that passed from Malla Reddy Institute of Technology (MRIT) in 2012 was fortunate to have been offered some job offers as the placements are common for all Malla Reddy Institutions. However, students hope that things become better or at least continue to be the same.

Malla Reddy Institute of Technology (MRIT) is located on the outskirts of north-Hyderabad, about 5 kms from Kompally and 25 kms from Koti. Frequency of RTC buses up to Kompally is excellent but as thousands of students are headed to the 20-odd engineering colleges in the area, buses are overcrowded. People are seen hanging on to whatever part of the bus they can find with a constant fear of being pushed down. College buses are more convenient but 10 times as expensive.

A couple of hostels are shared between all the Malla Reddy Institutes creating an obvious space crunch. Other than that, they're manageable with the biggest advantage being a very relaxed atmosphere with little restrictions on timings. Yet, many who cannot adjust opt for one of the hundreds of other hostels available in the area.

Owing to a severe lack of interesting places around the campus, most people prefer taking a ride all the way to Kompally, where they can find everything from movie theatres, fast food centres, ice cream and juice parlours and even Go-Karting and billiards.

Tolerable. People come from semi urban areas in the surrounding districts. Most of the students here haven’t done very well in their plus two exams and continue to lag behind in engineering. They are good at sports, though.

A 'National-Level' event, which fails to attract even half the students at Malla Reddy Institute of Technology (MRIT) itself, is something none of the MRITians feel proud about. It happens in October and a couple of technical events is all that they have.

Extremely strict. Some MRITians claim that the authorities charge fines in advance and at the end of the semester, students are reimbursed only if they manage to attend at least 85% of the lectures.
